Company News
Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the first National Science Popularization Month, our company actively responded to the national call and hosted the "Technology for the Future — A Thematic Science Popularization Event on Flexible Robots" at Guangzhou Xiguan Puiying Middle School on September 15, 2025.
Guided by the Bureau of Science, Industry and Information Technology of Liwan District, Guangzhou, and organized by the Guangzhou Institute of Future Additive Manufacturing, the event featured Mr. Guo Jianglong as the keynote speaker. A member of Academician Leng Jinsong's team, Associate Professor of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), and Chief Technology Expert of Winflex Robotics, Mr. Guo delivered in-depth popularization of flexible robot knowledge to over 200 middle school students, helping them appreciate the charm of technology and ignite their passion for innovation.
Professor Guo Delivers Science Lecture
At the event, Professor Guo started with creatures in nature, vividly interpreting the source of inspiration for flexible robots — a cutting-edge global technology field. He then systematically explained the definition, technical advantages, development history, and classification of flexible robots, enabling students to deeply understand how frontier technology transforms lives and drives social progress. Compared with traditional rigid robots, flexible robots offer higher flexibility, superior adaptability, and safer interactivity, boasting unique advantages in scenarios such as fragile object grasping, high-end medical care, and complex space monitoring.
The on-site displays of cutting-edge technologies and interactive experience sessions were brilliant highlights. Elephant trunk-inspired pneumatic artificial muscles flexibly deformed under gas drive, fish fin-inspired flexible grippers accurately picked up small parts, and flexible climbing robots ascended along poles... A variety of flexible robot exhibits brought by the institute captivated the students, who eagerly raised their hands to experience them on stage, maintaining enthusiastic energy throughout the event.
Faced with a series of curious questions from students such as "What powers this robot?" and "How does it sense pressure?", Professor Guo and the institute's staff demonstrated operations while providing detailed explanations, allowing students to intuitively feel the flexibility and convenience of flexible robots.
